1. Circular Economy Powered by DIO
Purchases and Treasury Replenishment
Players can purchase DIO via centralized exchanges (CEXs), decentralized exchanges (DEXs), or directly from Decimated. DIO purchased can be deposited into either:
- Game Wallets: Locked wallets that restrict withdrawals, ensuring that DIO is used solely for in-game purchases.
- External Wallets: Decentralized wallets that allow withdrawals, staking, and trading on external markets.
DIO spent in-game on items, NFT avatars, and other assets flows back into the treasury wallets. This creates a circular economy where the tokens are reintroduced into the ecosystem for redistribution through rewards and other mechanisms.
Player-to-Player Transactions
In peer-to-peer trades, a 5% transaction fee (paid in DIO) is applied, which is returned to the treasury. This fee contributes to ecosystem sustainability and encourages the use of the in-game marketplace.
2. Earning and Rewards
Leaderboard Rewards
Players can earn DIO by competing in Decimated’s leaderboards. Rewards are fixed in USD value, starting at $2,000/month, with plans to scale up to $10,000+ per month as player numbers grow. Rewards are distributed across all leaderboards to the top 20 winners, ensuring fairness and inclusivity.
During periods of reduced activity, rewards may be temporarily reduced, e.g., to $1,000/month, to maintain economic balance.
Play-to-Earn Opportunities
Players can engage in missions, challenges, and in-game tasks to earn DIO via the leaderboards. These rewards come from treasury wallets replenished by:
- Revenue generated by Fracture Labs.
- DIO buybacks using 5-10% of monthly revenue.
3. Veblen Goods and NFT Economy
NFT Avatars and Assets
The marketplace features a limited supply of 2,987 NFT avatars and a variety of Veblen goods with in-game utility, including vehicles, weapons, jetpacks, and properties (e.g., shops, storage rooms, houses). These assets add prestige and functionality for players.
Rentable Properties
Certain Veblen goods, such as shops, can generate passive income. For example:
- Shop owners can rent out their shops to shopkeepers for DIO on a monthly basis.
- Shopkeepers can engage in player vs. environment gameplay, reselling delivered supplies at higher values to earn in-game credits (soft currency).
Marketplace Resale Dynamics
Players can resell items and NFTs on the Decimated marketplace, but resale values may be capped at 10x the previous price to prevent extreme underpricing or overpricing. Abuse detection systems will be in place to flag suspicious activity, such as self-buying to inflate prices.
4. Subscription Packages
To encourage consistent revenue and engagement, Decimated will offer various subscription tiers in the future, each with unique benefits.
Subscriptions paid in DIO will receive discounts (e.g., $10/month becomes $8/month), incentivizing DIO purchases and increasing its utility.
5. Staking Opportunities
Players and investors can stake DIO on Decimated.net for passive rewards. Rewards are calculated based on the amount staked and the lock duration. Boosted staking rewards are available for Elite Membership subscribers, creating additional value for long-term holders.
6. Deflationary Mechanisms
To support token value, Decimated plans to employ several deflationary mechanisms:
- Token Burns: A portion of DIO from transaction fees or other sources may be burned in the future to reduce supply. Initially, burns will be manually controlled, with the potential for automation after simulations.
- Daily Buybacks: Fracture Labs buys back DIO regularly on the DEX, using a percentage of monthly revenue to replenish staking pools, reward pools, and treasury wallets.
7. External Wallets and Decentralization
Players using external wallets enjoy the following advantages:
- Ability to sell DIO for USDT/USDC on secondary markets.
- Access to staking for passive income.
In contrast, game wallets restrict DIO usage to in-game purchases, reinforcing the circular economy and maintaining liquidity within the ecosystem.
8. Anti-Abuse Measures
Decimated actively monitors and prevents ecosystem abuse:
- Marketplace Limits: Resale caps prevent extreme price manipulation.
- Abuse Alerts: Suspicious activity, such as self-buying, triggers alerts for investigation.
- Account Penalties: Temporary or permanent bans are enforced for those exploiting the system.
9. Future Growth and Ecosystem Expansion
While DIO’s primary use case is within Decimated, it will also be earnable and usable in future games developed by Fracture Labs for PC, console, and mobile platforms. This cross-platform integration ensures long-term demand for the token.
Decimated In-Game Credits Economy
Purpose of Credits
Credits are the primary in-game currency used to:
- Purchase consumable items (fuel, ammo, food, drink, bandages, medkits, blood packs, etc.).
- Buy weapons, including pistols, rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and grenades.
- Facilitate player-to-player (P2P) trading (in a future update).
Note: Credits are not used for custom skins, avatars, or other aesthetic items, which are exclusively purchased using DIO.
Earning Credits
Players can earn credits through:
- Killing enemy players and NPCs.
- Completing missions.
- Higher risk and difficulty missions will reward more credits in future updates.
- Selling items to vendors or in shops.
- Items like scrap technology, data pads, and radioactive materials are priced based on their rarity.
Spending Credits
Credits can be spent on:
- Items available from NPC vendors or vending machines.
- Consumables like fuel, ammo, food, and medkits.
- Weapons of various types (no aesthetic upgrades like skins).
Credits vs. DIO
Credits: A soft currency with an unlimited supply, earned through gameplay or purchased using DIO.
DIO: A hard currency with a fixed supply of 1 billion, used for premium items like skins, avatars, and P2P trading on the website marketplace.
Purchasing Credits
Credits can also be bought with DIO on the website marketplace:
- $0.99 worth of DIO = 1,000 credits.
- $99.99 worth of DIO = 140,000 credits.
(Economy of scale applies for larger credit packs.)
Future Credit Sinks
To manage credit flow and encourage strategic spending, planned features include:
- Repair costs for equipment.
- Fees for calling medics or mechanics.
Marketplace and Trading
- NPC Stores: Credits are required for purchases. Prices may change over time based on market dynamics.
- Player-to-Player Trading: In-game P2P trading using credits will be enabled in future updates.
- Website Marketplace: P2P trading and premium purchases (skins, avatars) use DIO, not credits.
Anti-Exploitation Measures
The development team actively monitors for farming exploits or bots hoarding credits. Any activity that negatively impacts gameplay may result in temporary or permanent bans.
Pay-to-Win Concerns
Even though credits can be purchased with DIO, Decimated is not pay-to-win because:
- Players can only carry a limited amount of items, weapons, and ammo.
- Buying credits may allow faster progress but does not grant an unfair combat advantage.
Lost Credits
If players lose credits unfairly due to bugs or issues, they can contact the development team for investigation. Compensation is provided when appropriate.
