Fracture Labs launches Game Foundry

Game Foundry - for indie devs and vibe coders
Game Foundry - for indie devs and vibe coders
Summary: Game Foundry is a browser-based toolkit for indie game developers, built by the team behind Decimated. It brings 36 tools into one workspace, lets AI coding agents use those tools directly, and publishes finished games to a public gallery. It is live now at gamefoundry.net.

When we started building Decimated, we learned first-hand how much time a small team loses to tooling: one app for pixel art, another for sound, another for level layout, a stack of subscriptions, and endless exporting between them. Game Foundry is the toolkit we wished we had. Today we are opening it to everyone.

One browser tab, the whole pipeline

Game Foundry runs entirely in the browser. There is nothing to install, and it works on any operating system. Tools pass work to each other directly, so a palette becomes a sprite, the sprite becomes a sprite sheet, and the sheet drops into a game, all without leaving the page.

There are 36 tools today, across art, audio, level design, data, fonts, video and AI generation. Highlights include:

Art: a pixel and sprite editor, voxel editor, tile editor, dithering, vectorising, normal maps, tiling textures and background removal.
Audio: a retro sound effect generator, sound library, audio trimmer and mixer.
Sprite Studio (beta): describe a character, choose its size, view and style from visual cards, then animate it into a four-direction sprite sheet ready for your engine.
AI generation: sprites, sound effects, music, voice, moodboards, 3D models, and Godot and Unity scripts.
Prompt to game: describe a browser game and our game builder, powered by Anthropic's Claude Opus models, writes a playable first version you can keep refining.

22 of the tools are completely free to use. AI tools run on credits, with a free monthly allowance and paid plans for heavier use.

Built for AI agents, too

More and more developers build with AI coding assistants. Game Foundry is one of the first indie game toolkits that those assistants can use directly, through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another MCP-compatible agent to Game Foundry and it can generate sprites, animations, sound and music, write scripts, and publish a game, all from inside your editor. The agent signs in with your Game Foundry account and uses the same credits and the same rules as the website, so there is nothing extra to set up.

Publish and share

Finished games can be published to the Game Foundry gallery, where anyone can play them in the browser. Every submission is reviewed so the gallery stays suitable for players aged 13 and up. Updates to a live game go through the same review while the current version stays online, so players never see a half-finished build.

What comes next

Game Foundry is growing quickly, and the next stage is focused on helping developers, and their AI agents, go from idea to finished game:

Playtesting tools that let an agent play a build and report what works and what breaks.
Project style guides so every generated asset matches the look of your game.
Game services such as leaderboards and cloud saves for browser games.
More asset tools, with Sprite Studio continuing to gain new poses, animations and export options.
Community events, including weekly challenges and game jams hosted on the platform.
