Decimated Development News #11

Decimated Development News #11

Welcome to the latest update from the Decimated development team!

As always, we are hard at work making exciting new additions and improvements to the game world and play mechanics. In this update, we are pleased to announce that we have added new areas to the game world alongside highways and tunnels to connect and add even more depth and variety to the game's environments. Additionally, we have revamped and re-added gas stations, which will play an important role in providing fuel and resources for players to survive in the harsh Decimated world.

One of our top priorities at the moment is working on the world's terrain, roads, and paths. We are constantly tweaking and refining these aspects of the game to ensure that they are realistic and immersive, while still allowing for smooth and enjoyable gameplay. We want players to feel fully immersed in the game world, and these updates will help to achieve that goal.

We are also working on more props such as container cranes to be used in industrial areas or cargo areas throughout the game world. This will add a new level of authenticity to the game's environments, and provide players with new challenges, and opportunities for scavenging and exploration.

We are committed to making the Decimated game world as rich and detailed as possible, and these updates are just the beginning.

When it comes to the vehicle department, one of our most exciting developments is the creation of various car skins that can be used as cosmetic NFTs. These skins will allow players to customize their vehicles and express their individuality in the game world.

We have also added new cargo lifter texture sets, which will make these vehicles even more useful for scavenging and transportation. We are also proud to announce that we have improved materials, textures and lighting across all vehicles, making 'em more detailed and visually appealing than ever before.

While we were initially focused on advancing the train mechanics, we have decided to pause the work on Trains temporarily. We have rescheduled this feature to be included in the Beta phase, allowing us to allocate more time for refining and polishing its functionalities. Rest assured, the wait will be worth it, as we strive to deliver a seamless and captivating train experience.

Besides cars and trains, we were expanding the options for Cargo Lifter textures. These enhancements will allow you to customize the appearance of your Cargo Lifters, ensuring a unique and personalized touch to your in-game industrial operations.

In addition to the world and vehicle updates, our development team has also been working on improving the game's characters. One of our most exciting developments is our work on augmented legs and arms, which will add new possibilities for player customization and abilities.

We are also pleased to announce that we have finalized the designs for the cops outfits, adding new visual diversity to the game's characters. Furthermore, we have started designing a new outfit for the Marauder class - to be included in the next dev blog.

We can't wait for players to experience all that Decimated has to offer, and we look forward to sharing more updates and improvements with you in the future.
